This Distance Runners book came about after discussions with running poet Elisabeth Sennitt Clough. We thought it would be a good idea to bring together people's experiences of physical activity (mainly, but not limited to running) during the various lockdowns and the Covid-19 era. This serves not only as a record of the diverse activities of runners during the pandemic, but also a guide to how people coped in different ways until life returned to something approaching normal. Runners submitted their stories of Covid-19 exploits, including a short story, an interview and the editors’ poetic endeavours. The result is presented along with photos; stories appearing in the chronological order they were received. I hope you enjoy reading the book and stay safe.
