The Busy Fox by Isaac Madge (illustrated by Elisabeth Karin)
A Story About the Calming Power of Nature
I bumped into this gorgeous, bright, and cheerily illustrated book by Isaac Madge and Elisabeth Karen in a Forest Schools group on Facebook.
As soon as I saw it, it struck me that it belonged on the ShookBop shelves. It brings together nature and tranquility, helping very young people recognise the connection between the natural world and the calmness it can bring.

Here is what the Blurb says:
Join Fox as he leaves behind the busy city to explore the calming power of nature. On his journery he learns all about the forest and all the wonderful joys it has to offer. The Busy Fox was inspired by the practice of Forest Bathing which originated in Japan, in the 1980's. Also known as Nature Therapy, Forest Bathing centres around reconnecting with nature through our senses. There are many benefits to this and it is proven to make us happier, reduce stress, improve creativity, lower heart rate and blood pressure, boost the immune system and accelerate recovery from illness.
